Book Review: Sleeping with the Fishes

I know that most people would find the book to be fluff, but what can I say I enjoyed the fluff. Let me start off by saying that I have a very stressful job and I tend to lean to the more cynical side when I interact with people, so when I read this book I immediately fell in love with Fred the protagonist of this book. Her sarcasm just had me laughing out loud. OK now for the nit and gritty of it all: Fred is a mermaid hybrid who has a degree in marine biology and works at the New England Aquarium in Boston. When a pollution problem presents itself in Boston Harbor, she becomes involved in finding the source of the pollution, helped by Dr. Thomas Pearson, a human marine biologist, and Artur,a merman prince(who both fall in love with her).I was pretty happy that what I thought was going to be yet another boring love triangle proved to not be the case. Also I absolutely loved the storyline between Fred's uptight boss, and her male fashionista friend. All in all it is a good summer book to read on the fly.
